Visual Voices Lecture with Taekyeom Lee
1h 0m
Visual Voices Colloquium is the Professional Lecture Series of George Mason University’s School of Art and Design and represents a window into the professional world of art and design. Speakers are chosen with faculty guidance to represent leading and emerging talented practitioners, as well as artists whose work lies beyond the subject areas of the program offerings. This is an edited recording of the live conversation with Taekyeom Lee on February 8, 2024, hosted in person in the Center for the Arts at George Mason University.
Taekyeom Lee is an educator, maker, and designer whose research explores unconventional materials and digital methods to graphic design, to create 3D type, graphics, and even designed objects. This research began with two questions: Where does typography belong in the post-digital age? How do we bridge digital and physical experiences?
