Mason Wind Symphony with Mason School of Dance

The Dewberry School of Music presents the Mason Wind Symphony in “Come Sunday,” a collaborative concert featuring Mason’s School of Dance at the Center for the Arts, recorded live on February 28, 2023.
The concert opens with Duke Ellington’s “Come Sunday” performed by Assistant Professor of Jazz Studies, John Kocur. Other works on the concert include Dwayne Milburn’s “American Hymnsong Suite,” Adolphus Hailstork’s “American Guernica,” and Julie Giroux’s “In My Father’s Eyes.” The concert concludes with Omar Thomas’ two-movement composition, “Come Sunday” with original choreography by Lawrence M. Jackson, Associate Professor of Dance.
